Patient Safety
The prevention of unintentional or unanticipated injury to patients while they are receiving medical care is known as patient safety. We assist providers in reducing patient safety events and promoting quality and safety enhancements. Patients ought to get care in a secure setting and be shielded from damage that could be prevented.
The field of patient safety focuses on ensuring patient safety by preventing, reducing, reporting, and analyzing errors and other avoidable harms that frequently result in unfavorable patient occurrences.
Roles and responsibilities
Wound care, disease management, medical equipment, therapy, medical social services, and patient education are just a few of the services provided by a variety of professionals. [7] Home health nurses perform a wide range of duties and services. In addition to providing services, nurses consult with doctors about the patient’s condition and provide feedback on any potential changes that need to be made to the care plan.
Home health nurses are responsible for promoting health and disease prevention, administering medications, educating patients on their current diagnosis, providing emotional support, and providing basic care such as personal hygiene.
Nurses also take on the role of case managers, coordinating services from various disciplines for the patient. Rehabilitation, pharmacy, community resources, and other services may be included.
A home health nurse’s job also includes providing the most up-to-date and effective care for a patient. They accomplish this by staying current on the latest research and Evidence-Based Practice.
